Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Medical Doctor or Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a dynamic fellowship program. This opportunity is designed for physicians or NPs who are passionate about family medicine or general practice with a strong inclination towards women’s health, holistic care, and preventative medicine.
The selected candidate will work closely with a team of experienced healthcare professionals and will be involved in various aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care. They will also play a vital role in community health initiatives and educational outreach programs aimed at promoting health and wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive medical care with a focus on family and women’s health.
Engage in patient consultations, examinations, and development of treatment plans.
Participate in the management of outpatient and in-home care.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
Lead and participate in community health education and disease prevention programs.
Stay current with advancements in medicine through continuous learning and professional development.
Contribute to the research activities aimed at improving practice services and patient care.
Qualifications:
Medical or Nurse Practitioner Degree from a recognized institution.
At least 3 years of clinical experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.
Background in Family Medicine, Urgent Care, or General Practice highly preferred.
Valid medical license (candidates from outside Tanzania must be eligible for licensure).
Demonstrated commitment to holistic, patient-centered care.
Strong interest in and commitment to health promotion and disease prevention.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Proficient in English; proficiency in Swahili is a plus but not required.
Dynamic and adaptable with a keen interest in continuous learning.
